Bread oh Bread.

Published by priscilla at 4:26 pm under Why Do I Even Bother? Edit This

I tried making bread yesterday.  I’ve never made bread before but I just recently bought a bread maker at a yard sale and I thought “What the hell?”  I got all my ingredients together and was all excited.  The excitement didn’t last long.  The machine didn’t mix everything as well as it should have, so I kept opening it to mix the stuff around. (I don’t think I was suppoused to.  That’s probably what killed the yeast)  Anyway, after a while it seemed to be doing better and the house started to smell like fresh bread.  Boy was I excited!  I was making bread, yeah.  Starting to feel all accomplished like one of those mom’s from the 50’s sitcoms.  Then the breadmaker beeped that it was done.  I took the bread out and put it on  a pan, it looked great and smelled awesome.  And then I cut it: nasty nasty nasty.  It was all clumpy and extra sweet.  I don’t think it turned out too well.  Maybe next time I’ll make doggie biscuits.
